Yellowstone in Abstract

Some of the best photography advice I’ve ever received is that when you arrive at a new location, stop looking at the whole thing and look for the small details instead.

Yellowstone is just incredible, but what struck me about the alien landscape wasn’t so much the gushing geysers (as impressive as Old Faithful is) but the cracks and crevices, the colors, and the geometric formations that merged together the unnatural existence of spectacular life  with what I felt was a sense of the apocalyptic.
